Finduilas, granddaughter of Denethor

The shades of the Last Ruling Steward live on in Finduilas. She hates this: but she also knows there’s truth to it.

Meanwhile, Aldarion, heir to the Steward of Arnor, has come to Minas Tirith to learn more about being a Steward.

He’s dismayed when Steward Faramir’s two eldest children, Elboron and Finduilas, are assigned to show him around.

Aldarion goes to Gondor

After the unexpected and tragic death of his older brother Alberion, Aldarion suddenly has to step into the shoes of heir to the Steward of Arnor. He feels like a country bumpkin in Minas Tirith, particularly next to Elboron, the sophisticated heir to the Steward of Gondor, and his sister Finduilas.

Arahaelon’s “special friend”

Lord Arahaelon is utterly dismayed when his father attempts to marry him off to his fellow judicial clerk, Lady Finduilas of Emyn Arnen. His father is convinced it’s perfect: “She doesn’t like people, you don’t like women!”

However, an unexpected friendship blooms when the pair realise they have more in common than they thought.
